Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, sliced and frozen
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of choice)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: 1-2 tablespoons peanut butter or 1 tablespoon honey/maple syrup for extra sweetness
Instructions
- Freeze Bananas: Peel and slice ripe bananas, then freeze them for at least 2–3 hours (or overnight).
- Blend: In a food processor or high-speed blender, add the frozen bananas, cocoa powder, almond milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Adjust Texture: If needed, add a little more milk for a softer consistency.
- Serve: Enjoy immediately for a soft-serve texture, or transfer to a container and freeze for 1–2 hours for a firmer scoopable nice cream.
- Top It Off: Garnish with chocolate chips, chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or a drizzle of peanut butter!
Notes
- Extra Creamy: Blend in ½ an avocado for a richer texture.
- Storage: Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week. Let it sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping.
- Flavor Variations: Add a pinch of cinnamon, espresso powder, or a handful of frozen berries for a twist!
