Description

Ham and Cheese Sliders are an easy, crowd-pleasing dish perfect for parties, game days, or quick dinners. Layered with ham, melted cheese, and a buttery glaze on soft Hawaiian rolls, these sliders are irresistibly delicious.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls (or any soft dinner rolls)
  • 12 slices deli ham (or more to taste)
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) mayonnaise (optional)

For the Butter Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup (60 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.

2. Prepare the Rolls:

  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally as a whole sheet, keeping the rolls connected. Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
  • Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the rolls (optional).

3. Layer the Ham and Cheese:

  • Layer the ham slices evenly over the rolls. Top with the Swiss cheese slices. Place the top half of the rolls back on top.

4. Make the Butter Glaze:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and poppy seeds.

5. Assemble the Sliders:

  • Brush the butter glaze generously over the tops of the rolls, making sure to cover them completely.

6. Bake:

  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

7. Serve:

  • Let the sliders cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Substitute Swiss cheese with cheddar, provolone, or mozzarella for a different flavor.
  • Add a layer of sliced pickles or a spread of honey mustard for extra tanginess.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
