Description

Grinch Oreo Balls are festive, no-bake treats inspired by the classic holiday movie The Grinch. These bright green Oreo truffles are made with crushed Oreos, cream cheese, and white chocolate, then decorated with a single red heart sprinkle. They’re perfect for holiday parties or gifting!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 package (14 oz) Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz (340g) white chocolate, melted
  • Green gel food coloring
  • Red heart sprinkles (or red M&Ms)

Instructions

  • Make the Oreo Mixture:
    • Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form.
    • Add the softened cream cheese and blend until fully combined and smooth.
  • Form the Balls:
    • Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place the Oreo balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    • Repeat with the remaining mixture, making about 24 balls.
    • Freeze the balls for 20-30 minutes, or until firm.
  • Coat the Oreo Balls:
    • Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-30 second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
    • Add green gel food coloring to the melted white chocolate and stir until the desired shade of green is achieved.
    • Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each Oreo ball into the green chocolate, coating it completely. Place it back on the parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  • Decorate:
    • Immediately add a red heart sprinkle to the top of each Oreo ball while the chocolate is still wet.
  • Chill and Serve:
    • Let the Grinch Oreo Balls set in the refrigerator for 1 hour, or until firm. Serve chilled!

Notes

  • Add flavor: Use mint Oreos for a minty twist.
  • Make it vegan: Use dairy-free cream cheese and vegan white chocolate.
  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
