Ingredients
-
1 pound lean ground turkey (93% lean recommended)
-
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
-
1 egg
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
-
1 teaspoon onion powder
-
1/2 teaspoon paprika
-
1/2 teaspoon salt
-
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
-
1 tablespoon olive oil (for grilling)
To Serve:
-
4 burger buns
-
Lettuce, tomato, onion slices, pickles
-
Cheese slices (optional)
-
Ketchup, mustard, or mayo
Instructions
-
Make the burger mix: In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined—don’t overwork the meat.
-
Form patties: Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties.
-
Preheat grill: Heat grill to medium-high and lightly oil the grates.
-
Grill burgers: Place patties on the grill and cook for about 5–6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
-
Toast buns (optional): Lightly toast the buns on the grill for 1–2 minutes until golden.
-
Assemble: Serve turkey burgers on buns with your favorite toppings and condiments.
Notes
-
Add a tablespoon of grated onion or chopped parsley to the mix for extra moisture and flavor.
-
Avoid pressing down on the burgers while grilling to keep them juicy.
-
These freeze well—shape and freeze raw patties for later grilling.
