Description

Grilled Steak & Shrimp Kabobs are a savory surf-and-turf skewer recipe combining juicy marinated steak and succulent shrimp, grilled to perfection with colorful vegetables for a delicious and balanced meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1.5-inch cubes
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped into chunks
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped into chunks
  • 1 red onion, cut into chunks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, paprika, pepper, and salt.
  2. Place steak cubes in half the marinade and shrimp in the other half. Marinate both for 30 minutes (refrigerated).
  3. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  4. Thread steak, shrimp, and vegetables onto skewers, alternating items for even grilling.
  5. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill kabobs for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until steak is cooked to desired doneness and shrimp are pink and opaque.
  6. Remove from grill and let rest 2–3 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For even cooking, use separate skewers for shrimp and steak if preferred.
  • Try adding zucchini, mushrooms, or cherry tomatoes for variety.
  • Serve with rice, couscous, or a fresh green salad.
