Description
Grilled Pineapple is a juicy, tropical treat with lightly charred edges and a caramelized glaze. Whether you serve it as a side dish at a BBQ, a healthy dessert with ice cream, or a topping for burgers and tacos, it’s quick, easy, and bursting with flavor.
Ingredients
-
1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into rings or spears
-
2 tbsp brown sugar (optional for caramelization)
-
1 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
-
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
-
Pinch of salt
-
Optional garnish: fresh mint, lime juice, or a drizzle of honey
Instructions
-
Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F).
-
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, melted butter (or oil), cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
-
Brush pineapple slices with the mixture on both sides.
-
Place pineapple directly on the grill grates. Grill for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden and grill marks appear.
-
Remove from grill and serve warm. Add a splash of lime juice or a sprinkle of fresh mint if desired.
Notes
-
No fresh pineapple? Canned pineapple rings (drained) also work!
-
Try serving with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or alongside grilled meats.
-
Add a pinch of chili powder or cayenne for a sweet-and-spicy twist.
