Description

Grilled Pineapple is a juicy, tropical treat with lightly charred edges and a caramelized glaze. Whether you serve it as a side dish at a BBQ, a healthy dessert with ice cream, or a topping for burgers and tacos, it’s quick, easy, and bursting with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into rings or spears

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (optional for caramelization)

  • 1 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil

  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional garnish: fresh mint, lime juice, or a drizzle of honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F).

  2. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, melted butter (or oil), cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.

  3. Brush pineapple slices with the mixture on both sides.

  4. Place pineapple directly on the grill grates. Grill for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden and grill marks appear.

  5. Remove from grill and serve warm. Add a splash of lime juice or a sprinkle of fresh mint if desired.

Notes

  • No fresh pineapple? Canned pineapple rings (drained) also work!

  • Try serving with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or alongside grilled meats.

  • Add a pinch of chili powder or cayenne for a sweet-and-spicy twist.
