- 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread, sliced in half lengthwise
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: grated Parmesan cheese for topping
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium heat (about 375°F/190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
- Place bread, cut side down, directly on the grill grates.
- Grill for 2-4 minutes until the bread is toasted and has nice grill marks. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
- Flip and grill for an additional 1-2 minutes if desired for extra crispiness.
- Remove from grill, sprinkle with Parmesan if using, slice, and serve warm.
