For the Filling:
- 450 g (1 lb) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 150 g (1 1/2 cups) shredded cheddar or American cheese
For the Wraps:
- 4 large flour tortillas
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Dill pickles (optional)
- Ketchup and mustard (or your favorite burger sauce)
For Grilling:
- 1 tbsp butter or cooking spray
Instructions
- Cook the Beef Filling:
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and onion, cooking until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Prepare the Wraps:
- Lay a tortilla on a flat surface. Spread a small amount of ketchup and mustard in the center.
- Add a layer of lettuce, followed by a few slices of tomato and pickles.
- Spoon 1/4 of the beef mixture onto the tortilla and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- Wrap the Tortilla:
- Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to form a secure wrap.
- Grill the Wraps:
- Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Lightly grease the pan with butter or cooking spray.
- Place the wraps seam-side down in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Serve:
- Slice the wraps in half and serve warm. Pair with fries, a salad, or your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For added flavor, mix some mayonnaise with ketchup and a dash of pickle juice to create a burger sauce for the wraps.
- Customize with your favorite burger toppings like bacon, sautéed mushrooms, or jalapeños.
- These wraps can be made ahead of time and grilled just before serving.
