- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, gently mix ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Form into 4 equal patties.
- Grill patties for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
- Brush each patty with barbecue sauce during the last minute of grilling, then top with a slice of cheddar cheese and let melt.
- Toast buns on the grill if desired.
- Assemble burgers by placing patties on buns, then topping with crispy fried onions and any optional toppings.
- Serve immediately with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
