Ingredients

Units Scale

Serves 4

  • 1 cup (240 ml) orange juice, chilled
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) blue curaƧao liqueur
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) sparkling wine or champagne, chilled
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar (for rimming, optional)
  • Green food coloring (optional)
  • Maraschino cherries or lime slices (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the rim (optional):
    • If rimming the glasses, mix a few drops of green food coloring with the granulated sugar.
    • Wet the rims of champagne flutes with a lime wedge or water, then dip them into the colored sugar to coat.
  2. Mix the base:
    • In a small pitcher or bowl, mix the orange juice and blue curaƧao. This will create a bright green liquid.
  3. Assemble the mimosas:
    • Fill each champagne flute about 1/3 full with the green juice mixture.
    • Slowly top off each glass with sparkling wine or champagne.
  4. Garnish and serve:
    • Garnish with a maraschino cherry or lime slice for a festive touch. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, replace the champagne with sparkling apple cider or lemon-lime soda, and use blue sports drink instead of curaƧao.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more orange juice or a splash of simple syrup.
  • Add a touch of edible glitter to the drink for extra sparkle.
