Description

This Greek Yogurt Buffalo Chicken Dip is a healthier twist on the classic, made with creamy Greek yogurt, tender chicken, and spicy buffalo sauce. Perfect for game days, parties, or a cozy snack, this dip is packed with flavor and protein without the guilt.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt (plain, full-fat or low-fat)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional, for topping)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Dip:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or a similar-sized oven-safe dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, buffalo sauce, cream cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  3. Fold in the shredded chicken and cheddar cheese until evenly combined.

Bake the Dip:

  1. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Spread it out evenly.
  2. Sprinkle crumbled blue cheese on top, if using.
  3. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve:

  1. Remove the dish from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley.
  2. Serve warm with celery sticks, carrots, crackers, or tortilla chips for dipping.

Notes

  • Make it ahead: Prepare the dip mixture up to a day in advance, cover, and refrigerate. Bake just before serving.
  • Dairy-free option: Use dairy-free yogurt and cream cheese, and omit the cheddar and blue cheese.
  • Extra heat: Add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper to amp up the spice.
