Description

This Garlic Sriracha Salmon is bold, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with a mix of heat, sweetness, and tanginess. It’s a quick and easy dish that’s perfect for weeknight dinners or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 3 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together Sriracha sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic, lime juice, olive oil, sesame oil, and ground ginger.
  2. Marinate the salmon:
    • Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor).
  3. Preheat and prepare:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  4. Bake the salmon:
    • Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down. Reserve the marinade.
    • Bake for 12-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Reduce the marinade (optional):
    • While the salmon is baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Serve:
    • Drizzle the reduced marinade over the cooked salmon. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve immediately with steamed rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.

Notes

  • For extra caramelization, broil the salmon for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
  • You can grill the salmon instead of baking it; cook over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side.
