- 1 lb (450g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (optional, for extra richness)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Step 2: Season the Brussels Sprouts
- In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
- Spread them in a single layer, cut-side down, on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 3: Roast the Brussels Sprouts
- Roast for 20 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and toss with Parmesan cheese and melted butter (if using).
- Return to the oven for 5 more minutes, until the cheese melts and crisps slightly.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
