- For the Garlic Chili Oil Sauce:
- 1/4 cup neutral oil (like vegetable or canola oil)
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1–2 tbsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground Sichuan pepper (optional, for extra heat)
Instructions
- Cook the Noodles:
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions until tender. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Garlic Chili Oil Sauce:
- In a small saucepan, heat the neutral oil over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
- Add the minced garlic and chili flakes, and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until the garlic is golden and fragrant. Remove from heat.
- Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and Sichuan pepper (if using) to complete the sauce.
- Combine the Noodles and Sauce:
- Place the cooked noodles in a large bowl. Pour the garlic chili oil sauce over the noodles and toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Top with green onions, cilantro, and sesame seeds for garnish.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the noodles warm!
