Description

Tender salmon fillets cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce, topped with melted Parmesan cheese for a flavorful, quick, and elegant seafood dish.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

Instructions

  1. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon fillets skin-side down for 4-5 minutes, then flip and cook 2 more minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Lower heat to medium. Add butter to skillet. Once melted, add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in Parmesan, parsley, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Cook until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbling.
  5. Return salmon to skillet and spoon sauce over the fillets. Cook 1-2 minutes more until salmon is cooked through and cheese forms a light crust.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional parsley and lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • For a crispier top, broil salmon for 1-2 minutes after saucing.
  • Use Pecorino Romano instead of Parmesan for a bolder flavor.
  • Great with steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh green salad.
