Description
Garlic Butter Chicken Thighs are juicy, pan-seared chicken thighs cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce for a simple yet delicious dinner that’s full of flavor and easy to make.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken thighs skin-side down and sear for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip and cook for another 5-6 minutes or until cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in garlic, thyme, and rosemary. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Return chicken to the pan and spoon the garlic butter over the top. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Squeeze lemon juice over the chicken if using, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
- Use boneless, skinless thighs if preferred, but adjust cooking time accordingly.
- This dish pairs well with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables.
- Deglaze the pan with a splash of chicken broth or white wine for added flavor.
