Description

Garlic Butter Chicken Thighs are juicy, pan-seared chicken thighs cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce for a simple yet delicious dinner that’s full of flavor and easy to make.


Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken thighs skin-side down and sear for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip and cook for another 5-6 minutes or until cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in garlic, thyme, and rosemary. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Return chicken to the pan and spoon the garlic butter over the top. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  5. Squeeze lemon juice over the chicken if using, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use boneless, skinless thighs if preferred, but adjust cooking time accordingly.
  • This dish pairs well with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables.
  • Deglaze the pan with a splash of chicken broth or white wine for added flavor.
