Scale
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning mix
- 1/2 cup water
- 6 strips cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or American cheese
- 1 tube (16 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
-
Cook the Ground Beef:
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and crumbled. Drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and 1/2 cup water to the beef, stirring to combine. Simmer for 5 minutes until the mixture thickens. Set aside to cool slightly.
-
Prepare the Dough:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to form a large rectangle (about 10×15 inches).
-
Assemble the Rollups:
- Spread the seasoned beef evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the crumbled bacon and shredded cheese over the beef.
- Starting from one long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the edges to seal.
-
Slice and Bake:
- Slice the log into 1-inch thick pieces and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic. Brush the tops of the rollups with the garlic butter.
-
Bake:
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the rollups are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
-
Serve:
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm with dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, or ranch.
Notes
- Add toppings: Include pickles or diced onions for an extra cheeseburger flavor.
- Make it spicy: Add chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the beef mixture.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
