Description

These Garlic Butter Bacon Cheeseburger Rollups are a delicious, handheld twist on a classic cheeseburger. Filled with seasoned ground beef, crispy bacon, melty cheese, and topped with garlic butter, these rollups are perfect for a fun family meal, party appetizer, or game-day snack!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 6 strips cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or American cheese
  • 1 tube (16 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Ground Beef:

    • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and crumbled. Drain excess fat.
    • Add taco seasoning and 1/2 cup water to the beef, stirring to combine. Simmer for 5 minutes until the mixture thickens. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • Prepare the Dough:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to form a large rectangle (about 10×15 inches).
  • Assemble the Rollups:

    • Spread the seasoned beef evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
    • Sprinkle the crumbled bacon and shredded cheese over the beef.
    • Starting from one long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the edges to seal.
  • Slice and Bake:

    • Slice the log into 1-inch thick pieces and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
    • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic. Brush the tops of the rollups with the garlic butter.
  • Bake:

    • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the rollups are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Serve:

    • Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm with dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, or ranch.

Notes

  • Add toppings: Include pickles or diced onions for an extra cheeseburger flavor.
  • Make it spicy: Add chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the beef mixture.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
