- 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably from day-old bread)
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions

- In a large skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add breadcrumbs and red pepper flakes, if using. Cook, stirring frequently, until golden and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic breadcrumb mixture. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to help coat the noodles evenly.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately with extra Parmesan on top if desired.
Notes
- Use panko for extra crunch if preferred.
- For a heartier version, add cooked bacon or sautéed mushrooms.
