Description

These Fudge Popsicles are rich, creamy, and chocolaty frozen treats made with simple ingredients — a perfect cool-down dessert for hot days.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. Slowly add milk and cream while whisking until smooth.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and starts to bubble, about 5–7 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Let the mixture cool slightly, then pour into popsicle molds.
  6. Insert sticks and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight until solid.
  7. To release, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free version, use plant-based milk and coconut cream.
  • Adjust sweetness to taste before pouring into molds.
  • Store popsicles in the freezer for up to 2 weeks for best flavor.
