Description

Cooking frozen fish in an air fryer is a quick and convenient way to enjoy crispy, flaky fish without thawing. Perfect for a hassle-free weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 frozen fish fillets (breaded or unbreaded)
  • Cooking spray or 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
  • Tartar sauce or dipping sauce, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Place the frozen fish fillets in the basket in a single layer, leaving space between them.
  4. Air fry for 10–12 minutes for breaded fish, or 12–15 minutes for thicker unbreaded fillets. Flip halfway through cooking.
  5. Check that the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and your favorite sauce.

Notes

  • No need to thaw the fish before cooking—cook directly from frozen.
  • Adjust cooking time based on fillet thickness and air fryer model.
  • Add a pinch of salt, pepper, or seasoning before cooking for extra flavor.
