Description

This frosted raspberry lemon drop is a sweet and tangy cocktail that’s as beautiful as it is delicious. With fresh raspberries, zesty lemon, and a frosty sugar-rimmed glass, it’s perfect for celebrations, brunches, or a refreshing treat anytime.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the cocktail:

  • 45 ml (1 1/2 oz) vodka (preferably citrus-flavored)
  • 30 ml (1 oz) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 30 ml (1 oz) simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 6 fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup crushed ice

For the garnish:

  • Granulated sugar (for rimming the glass)
  • Lemon wedge (for rimming the glass)
  • Fresh raspberries and lemon slice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glass:
    • Run a lemon wedge around the rim of a martini or coupe glass.
    • Dip the rim into a shallow plate of granulated sugar to coat. Set aside.
  2. Mix the cocktail:
    • In a cocktail shaker, muddle the fresh raspberries until they release their juices.
    • Add the vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup, and crushed ice to the shaker.
    • Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  3. Strain and serve:
    • Strain the mixture into the prepared glass.
    • Garnish with a fresh raspberry or a slice of lemon on the rim if desired.
  4. Enjoy:
    • Serve immediately and sip your frosted, fruity delight!

Notes

  • For a sweeter drink, add more simple syrup or muddle a few raspberries with sugar before mixing.
  • To make a mocktail version, replace the vodka with sparkling water or lemon soda.
  • Store-bought raspberry puree can be used as a substitute for fresh raspberries.
