Description

Fresh Watermelon Mojito is a light and refreshing cocktail made with juicy watermelon, fresh mint, lime, and a splash of rum. It’s the perfect drink for hot summer days and outdoor gatherings.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
  • 10 fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, depending on sweetness of watermelon)
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • 2 ounces white rum
  • Sparkling water or club soda, to top
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker or large glass, muddle the watermelon cubes with mint leaves and sugar until juicy and fragrant.
  2. Add lime juice and rum. Fill the shaker or glass with ice and shake or stir well to combine.
  3. Strain into a glass filled with ice (or pour directly for a more rustic texture).
  4. Top with sparkling water or club soda to taste and gently stir.
  5. Garnish with a mint sprig and a small wedge of watermelon or lime. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit rum and add more sparkling water.
  • You can blend and strain the watermelon beforehand for a smoother drink.
  • Adjust sugar and lime juice to balance the sweetness and tartness to your liking.
