Description

Fresh Strawberry Yum Yum is a classic Southern no-bake dessert with layers of sweet cream cheese, whipped topping, graham cracker crust, and fresh strawberries. It’s light, fluffy, fruity, and perfect for spring and summer gatherings!

Ingredients

For the crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the cream cheese layer:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

For the strawberry layer:

  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  • Make the crust:
In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until combined. Press firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish. Chill in the fridge while preparing the next layer.

  • Make the cream cheese layer:
Beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the whipped topping. Spread evenly over the chilled crust. Place back in the fridge.

  • Make the strawberry layer:
In a saucepan, combine 1 ½ cups of the sliced strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat and let cool completely. Stir in the remaining fresh strawberries.

  • Assemble:
Once the strawberry mixture is cool, spread it over the cream cheese layer. Cover and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.

  • Serve:
Slice into squares and serve chilled. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use frozen strawberries if fresh aren’t in season—just thaw and drain them well.

  • For extra crunch, sprinkle extra graham cracker crumbs or crushed pecans on top.

  • Best enjoyed within 3 days.
