Description

Elf Snack Mix is a sweet and salty holiday treat packed with festive colors and fun flavors. Perfect for gift-giving, holiday parties, or a cozy movie night, this no-bake mix combines crunchy cereal, pretzels, candy, and a drizzle of white chocolate for a treat even Santa’s elves can’t resist!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 cups (90 g) Rice Chex cereal
  • 2 cups (60 g) mini pretzels
  • 2 cups (50 g) popped popcorn (plain or lightly salted)
  • 1 cup (150 g) red and green candy-coated chocolates (like M&M’s)
  • 1 cup (150 g) mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup (175 g) white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil or coconut oil (optional, for easier melting)
  • Holiday sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Combine the dry ingredients:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the Rice Chex, pretzels, popcorn, candy-coated chocolates, and mini marshmallows. Toss gently to mix.
  2. Melt the white chocolate:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Add the vegetable oil if needed to thin the chocolate for drizzling.
  3. Coat the mix:
    • Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the snack mix. Toss gently to coat the ingredients evenly.
  4. Add sprinkles:
    • Spread the mix onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with holiday sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
  5. Set and serve:
    • Allow the snack mix to sit at room temperature for 20–30 minutes, or until the chocolate hardens. Break into pieces and serve, or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Customize by adding other mix-ins like candy canes (crushed), dried cranberries, or nuts.
  • Use milk or dark chocolate for a different flavor twist.
  • Package in holiday-themed bags or jars for a great homemade gift!
