Instructions
- Use a round cutter or glass to cut a hole in the center of the bread slice.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
- Place the bread slice in the skillet and crack the egg into the hole.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes, until the egg white starts to set. Season with salt and pepper.
- Flip carefully and cook another 1–2 minutes for a runny yolk or longer for a firmer yolk.
- Toast the cut-out bread circle in the skillet and serve on the side.
