Description
These egg & cheese hash brown waffles are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and loaded with melty cheese and savory flavor. Made in a waffle maker, they’re a fun twist on classic breakfast hash browns. Great on their own or topped with a fried egg, avocado, or hot sauce!
Ingredients

2 cups frozen shredded hash browns, thawed

2 large eggs

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

Cooking spray or a little oil for greasing the waffle iron

Optional toppings: sour cream, green onions, avocado, hot sauce
Instructions

Preheat your waffle iron and lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil.

In a large bowl, mix together the hash browns, eggs, shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Scoop about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of the mixture into the center of the waffle iron and spread it out slightly.

Close the lid and cook for 5–7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Carefully remove the waffle and repeat with the remaining mixture.

Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
Notes

Make sure the hash browns are well thawed and patted dry to get a crispier waffle.

You can add cooked bacon bits, sausage, or diced veggies for extra flavor.

Leftovers reheat well in the toaster or air fryer.
