Description

This Easy Rice Pudding is a creamy and comforting dessert made with simple ingredients like rice, milk, and sugar — perfect served warm or chilled.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the cooked rice, milk, sugar, and salt.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture starts to thicken, about 15–20 minutes.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until creamy.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Optionally, stir in raisins and sprinkle with cinnamon before serving.
  6. Serve warm or chilled, as desired.

Notes

  • Use leftover cooked rice to save time.
  • For a richer pudding, substitute part of the milk with cream.
  • Adjust sugar to taste depending on sweetness preference.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
