- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup pistachio butter (or almond butter if unavailable)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pistachios (optional, for extra crunch)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Coating
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips, pistachio butter, and unsalted butter.
- Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
2. Coat the Cereal
- Place the rice cereal squares in a large mixing bowl.
- Pour the melted chocolate and pistachio mixture over the cereal, gently folding with a spatula until all the pieces are evenly coated.
3. Add the Powdered Sugar
- Transfer the coated cereal to a large resealable plastic bag or a large container with a lid.
- Add the powdered sugar, seal the bag (or container), and shake vigorously until all the cereal is well-coated.
4. Add Pistachios (Optional)
- If desired, stir in the chopped pistachios for an extra nutty crunch.
5. Serve and Store
- Spread the puppy chow on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool and set for 15–20 minutes.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
