Description

This Easy Maple Roasted Trail Mix is a sweet-meets-savory snack packed with nuts, seeds, dried fruit, and a maple syrup glaze. It’s roasted until golden and crisp, making it a warm, cozy twist on classic trail mix. Great for snacking, gifting, or fueling up on the go!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw almonds

  • 1 cup pecan halves

  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds (pepitas)

  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds

  • 1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut

  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries or cherries

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • Optional: 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (add after baking)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, mix almonds, pecans, seeds, and coconut.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, oil, cinnamon, and salt.

  4. Pour syrup mixture over the nut mixture and stir until evenly coated.

  5. Spread onto baking sheet in an even layer.

  6. Bake for 18–22 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until golden and fragrant.

  7. Let cool completely, then stir in dried fruit and chocolate chips if using.

  8. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • Add more maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter mix.

  • For extra crunch, leave it in the oven a few extra minutes—just keep an eye on the coconut.

  • Try dried apples or blueberries for a seasonal twist!
