- 1 loaf French or Italian bread
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the loaf in half lengthwise.
- In a bowl, mix together butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves of the bread.
- Optional: sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the buttered bread for extra flavor.
- Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden and crispy on the edges.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- For a crispier texture, broil for an additional 1–2 minutes after baking.
- Use garlic powder instead of fresh garlic for a milder flavor.
- Leftovers can be reheated in the oven or air fryer to retain crispiness.
