Description

This Easy Edible Cookie Dough is safe to eat raw, made without eggs and with heat-treated flour to ensure it’s 100% edible! It’s sweet, buttery, and loaded with chocolate chips, perfect for snacking, dipping, or even using as an ice cream topping!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated, see instructions below!)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (for that classic cookie dough taste!)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp milk (adjust for desired consistency!)
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (or mix-ins like M&Ms, sprinkles, or chopped nuts!)

Instructions

Step 1: Heat-Treat the Flour (IMPORTANT!)

  1. Microwave Method: Place flour in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until it reaches 165°F (75°C). (About 1-2 minutes total.)
  2. Oven Method: Spread flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  3. Let the flour cool completely before using.

Step 2: Make the Cookie Dough

  1. In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Mix in vanilla extract, salt, and milk.
  3. Slowly add heat-treated flour, stirring until fully combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips (or any mix-ins).

Step 3: Serve & Enjoy!

  • Eat immediately with a spoon!
  • Roll into bite-sized balls for a fun treat.
  • Use as a topping for ice cream or milkshakes!

Serving Suggestions

  • With a Spoon: Classic and delicious!
  • With Graham Crackers or Pretzels: Sweet & salty combo!
  • As a Dessert Dip: Serve in a bowl with fruit and cookies for dipping.
  • Frozen Bites: Roll into balls and freeze for a cold treat!

Notes

  • Want it softer? Add extra milk 1 tsp at a time.
  • Make it healthier! Use almond flour instead of all-purpose flour.
  • Peanut Butter Version: Swap ½ of the butter for peanut butter!
  • Gluten-Free? Use certified gluten-free flour and heat-treat it the same way.
