Description
This easy buldak ramen recipe is a fiery, creamy, and cheesy twist on Korean spicy chicken noodles. Made with instant ramen, gochujang, and melted cheese, it’s the perfect quick meal for spice lovers. Ready in under 15 minutes!
Ingredients
-
1 pack spicy ramen (like Samyang Buldak Ramen)
-
1/2 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
-
1 tablespoon soy sauce
-
1 tablespoon brown sugar
-
2 tablespoons water (extra, for the sauce)
-
1 teaspoon sesame oil
-
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
-
Optional: 1 boiled or fried egg, sesame seeds, or crushed seaweed for topping
Instructions
-
Cook ramen noodles according to package instructions, but discard most of the water, leaving about 2–3 tablespoons in the pot.
-
While noodles cook, in a small bowl mix gochujang, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and 2 tablespoons of water to make the sauce.
-
Drain the noodles, return to the pot, and stir in the sauce mixture and the buldak flavor packet (if using).
-
Stir over low heat until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the noodles.
-
Turn off the heat and sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the noodles. Cover for 1–2 minutes until melted.
-
Transfer to a bowl and top with green onions, sesame seeds, and an egg if desired.
Notes
-
Adjust gochujang to your spice level. Use less or skip the included spice packet for a milder version.
-
Add protein like grilled chicken, tofu, or beef to make it a full meal.
-
You can swap mozzarella for a mix of cheddar and mozzarella for extra flavor.
