Description

Easter Dirt Cake Casserole is a fun and festive no-bake dessert layered with creamy pudding, crushed cookies, and topped with Easter candies — perfect for springtime celebrations.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional, tinted green)
  • 1 cup Easter candy (jelly beans, mini chocolate eggs, Peeps, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together pudding mix and milk for 2 minutes until thickened.
  3. Fold whipped topping into the pudding mixture, then fold in the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.
  4. Spread a layer of crushed Oreos in the bottom of a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  5. Spread half of the pudding mixture over the cookie layer. Repeat with another layer of Oreos and the remaining pudding mixture.
  6. Top with the remaining crushed Oreos.
  7. Sprinkle tinted coconut over the top to resemble grass (optional).
  8. Decorate with Easter candies like jelly beans, chocolate eggs, or Peeps.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • You can use chocolate pudding instead of vanilla for a different flavor.
  • For best results, crush Oreos with a food processor or place in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin.
  • Tint shredded coconut with a drop of green food coloring for a grassy look.
