Scale
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts)
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until evenly combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to create the crust.
- Layer the Ingredients:
- Sprinkle the coconut evenly over the crust. Follow with layers of chocolate chips, butterscotch chips (if using), and chopped nuts.
- Add Sweetened Condensed Milk:
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top, ensuring it covers all the layers.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- Cool and Slice:
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan. Once cool, slice into squares or bars and serve.
Notes
- For extra flavor, toast the coconut or nuts before layering.
- Swap semi-sweet chocolate chips for dark or milk chocolate, depending on your preference.
- These bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
