- 1/4 cup natural peanut butter (NO xylitol—check the label!)
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (or unsweetened pumpkin puree)
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp honey (optional, for a little sweetness)
For the Frosting:
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (or unsweetened peanut butter for a thicker frosting)
- 1 tbsp peanut butter (for extra flavor)
- 1 tsp honey (optional)

Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prepare
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 6-inch round cake pan or use a muffin tin for pupcakes.
Step 2: Mix the Batter
- In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda.
- In another bowl, mix applesauce, peanut butter, yogurt, egg, and honey until smooth.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, stirring until combined.
Step 3: Bake the Cake
- Pour batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes (or 12-15 minutes for pupcakes), until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool completely before frosting.
Step 4: Make the Frosting
- Mix Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and honey in a bowl until smooth.
- Spread over the cooled cake and decorate with dog treats, shredded carrots, or blueberries.
