Description

This homemade dog ice cream is a cool, refreshing treat for your pup. Made with simple, dog-friendly ingredients, it’s perfect for warm days or just as a special reward!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 ripe banana (mashed)
  • 1/2 cup plain unsweetened yogurt (or a dog-safe alternative like coconut yogurt)
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter (unsalted and xylitol-free)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce (optional, for added sweetness)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients:
    • In a blender or food processor, combine the mashed banana, yogurt, peanut butter, and applesauce (if using). Blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into Molds:
    • Pour the mixture into silicone molds, ice cube trays, or small paper cups.
  3. Freeze:
    • Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until solid.
  4. Serve:
    • Pop out one serving and let your pup enjoy!

Notes

  • Store in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
  • Avoid using any peanut butter or yogurt that contains artificial sweeteners like xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
  • You can add finely chopped dog-safe fruits like blueberries or strawberries for variety.
