Description

These DIY Peppermint Candy Spoons are easy to make and perfect for holiday gifts or party favors. Made by melting peppermint candies into spoon-shaped molds, they’re great for stirring into hot chocolate, coffee, or adding a festive touch to your dessert table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (12 oz) peppermint hard candies (crushed)
  • Cooking spray (for greasing the molds)

Optional Add-Ons:

  • Melted white or dark chocolate for drizzling
  • Crushed candy canes for extra texture
  • Holiday sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Lightly grease a silicone spoon mold with cooking spray.

  2. Crush the Candies:
Place the peppermint candies in a zip-top bag and crush them using a rolling pin until they resemble small chunks (not powder).

  3. Fill the Molds:
Spoon the crushed peppermint candies into the molds, making sure to fill every corner for a solid spoon shape.

  4. Bake:
Place the filled mold on a baking sheet and bake for 5–8 minutes, or until the candy is melted and bubbly. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.

  5. Cool and Set:
Remove from the oven and let the candy spoons cool completely in the mold before gently popping them out.

  6. Decorate (Optional):
Drizzle melted chocolate over the spoons and sprinkle with extra crushed candy or festive sprinkles. Let the decorations set before packaging or serving.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
  • Wrap each spoon in clear plastic and tie with ribbon for a cute holiday gift.
  • You can also use flavored hard candies for a fun twist!
