Description

These Dessert Cinnamon Crescent Rolls are buttery, flaky, and filled with a sweet cinnamon-sugar mixture. Perfect for an easy dessert or a cozy snack, they bake up golden and delicious in no time!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 (8 oz/235 g) can of crescent roll dough
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

For the glaze (optional):

  • 1/2 cup (60 g) powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Prepare the cinnamon-sugar mixture:

    • In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.
  • Assemble the crescent rolls:

    • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
    • Brush each triangle with melted butter. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
    • Starting at the wide end of each triangle, roll it up toward the point to form a crescent shape. Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, point-side down.
  • Bake:

    • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and puffed.
  • Make the glaze (optional):

    • In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more milk or sugar as needed.
  • Serve:

    • Drizzle the glaze over the warm crescent rolls and serve immediately. Enjoy them warm for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Add-ins: Sprinkle chopped nuts, raisins, or chocolate chips over the cinnamon-sugar mixture before rolling for extra flavor.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for a few minutes to restore flakiness.
  • No glaze: If you prefer a simpler treat, skip the glaze and dust the baked rolls with powdered sugar instead.
