- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
For the glaze (optional):
- 1/2 cup (60 g) powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
-
Prepare the cinnamon-sugar mixture:
- In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.
-
Assemble the crescent rolls:
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
- Brush each triangle with melted butter. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
- Starting at the wide end of each triangle, roll it up toward the point to form a crescent shape. Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, point-side down.
-
Bake:
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and puffed.
-
Make the glaze (optional):
- In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more milk or sugar as needed.
-
Serve:
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm crescent rolls and serve immediately. Enjoy them warm for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- Add-ins: Sprinkle chopped nuts, raisins, or chocolate chips over the cinnamon-sugar mixture before rolling for extra flavor.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for a few minutes to restore flakiness.
- No glaze: If you prefer a simpler treat, skip the glaze and dust the baked rolls with powdered sugar instead.
