- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional)
- 1 onion, sliced (optional)
Instructions
- Pat chicken leg quarters dry with paper towels.
- Rub each piece with olive oil and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Place sliced onions (if using) at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Arrange the seasoned chicken leg quarters on top of the onions.
- Pour chicken broth and soy sauce (if using) around the chicken in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Optional: For crispy skin, place the chicken under a broiler for 3-5 minutes after slow cooking.
- Serve hot with sides like mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.
