Description

A simple and flavorful slow-cooked ham that’s juicy, tender, and perfect for holidays or family dinners.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 (6 to 8 lb) fully cooked bone-in ham
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions

  1. Unwrap the ham and place it flat side down in the crock pot.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, maple syrup, pineapple juice, Dijon mustard, and ground cloves.
  3. Pour the mixture over the ham, making sure it is well coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, basting occasionally with the juices.
  5. Once heated through and tender, remove the ham and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • If your ham is too large for the crock pot, trim it slightly or use a slow cooker liner to help it fit better.
  • Leftovers are great for sandwiches or soups.
  • Use a spiral cut ham for easier serving.
