- 2 cans (8 oz each) crescent roll dough
- 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup apple cider (or lemon-lime soda for extra sweetness)
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
For Serving:
- Vanilla ice cream
- Caramel sauce
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Dough
- Roll out the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
- Spoon 1-2 tablespoons of apple pie filling onto the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll up from wide to narrow end, sealing the edges slightly.
2️⃣ Assemble in Crock Pot
- Lightly grease the slow cooker.
- Place dumplings seam-side down in the crock pot.
3️⃣ Make the Sauce
- In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the mixture over the dumplings.
- Add apple cider (or soda) around the dumplings.
4️⃣ Cook Low & Slow
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours, until golden and bubbly.
5️⃣ Serve & Enjoy!
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle.
