Description
Crispy Fried Mushrooms are golden-brown bites of tender mushrooms coated in a seasoned breading and deep-fried until perfectly crunchy. They make an irresistible appetizer or snack, especially with your favorite dipping sauce.

- 8 oz button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned and stems trimmed
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Optional: ranch, garlic aioli, or spicy mayo for dipping
Instructions
- Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each mushroom in flour, dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Heat about 1 inch of oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry mushrooms in batches for 2–3 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and crisp. Do not overcrowd the pan.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Season with a pinch of salt while hot.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add Parmesan cheese or herbs to the breadcrumb mixture.
- Use an air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 8–10 minutes for a lighter version.
- Great as a side dish, game day snack, or party appetizer.
