Description

Crispy Baked Chicken Tenders are a healthier alternative to fried chicken, coated in a seasoned breadcrumb crust and baked to golden perfection—perfect for both kids and adults.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders or boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into strips
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a wire rack.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place flour in a second bowl.
  4. In a third bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.
  5. Dredge each chicken strip in flour, dip in the egg mixture, then coat in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
  6. Place chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet and lightly spray with olive oil spray.
  7. Bake for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through (internal temp 165°F/74°C).
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Use whole wheat or gluten-free breadcrumbs as needed.
  • Add cayenne pepper to the breadcrumb mix for a spicy kick.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge and reheated in the oven for best texture.
