Ingredients

Units Scale

For the chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb / 450 g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the wraps:

  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • 6 slices of crispy bacon
  • 1 cup (120 g) shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup (60 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup (120 g) diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) red onion, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) ranch dressing

For the crispy texture (optional):

  • 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil for toasting

Instructions

  • Cook the chicken:
    • Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C).
    • Remove from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing into thin strips.
  • Assemble the wraps:
    • Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread 1-2 tablespoons of ranch dressing over the center.
    • Layer shredded lettuce, sliced chicken, crispy bacon, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, and red onions (if using).
  • Wrap it up:
    • Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it tightly from the bottom to the top to form a wrap.
  • Optional crispy touch:
    • Heat a tablespoon of butter or olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down and toast for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  • Serve:
    • Cut the wraps in half and serve immediately with extra ranch dressing for dipping.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add sliced cucumbers or a handful of crushed tortilla chips inside the wrap.
  • Swap the chicken breasts for chicken tenders or rotisserie chicken for a quicker option.
  • Use a whole wheat tortilla for a healthier twist.
