Description

Creamy Lemon & Herb Salmon is a rich, flavorful dish featuring tender salmon fillets in a velvety lemon-herb cream sauce. It’s an elegant yet simple meal perfect for dinner parties or weeknight indulgence.


Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon, skin-side down, for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, and Dijon mustard. Simmer until the sauce thickens, about 3–5 minutes.
  6. Return salmon to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the fillets. Cook for 2–3 minutes more until heated through.
  7. Garnish with chopped dill, parsley, and lemon slices. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use skin-on salmon for extra crispness and flavor.
  • Substitute fresh dill with dried if necessary (use 1 tsp dried).
  • Pair with rice, mashed potatoes, or steamed veggies for a complete meal.
