Description

Creamy Coffee Delight is a smooth, luxurious dessert that combines the rich flavor of coffee with a velvety cream base. Perfect for coffee lovers, this chilled treat is easy to prepare and ideal for an elegant dessert or an afternoon indulgence.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the coffee layer:

  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) boiling water
  • 1/3 cup (65 g) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the cream layer:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream, chilled
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For garnish (optional):

  • Shaved chocolate or cocoa powder
  • Coffee beans

Instructions

  1. Prepare the coffee layer:
    • Dissolve the instant coffee granules in boiling water. Stir in the granulated sugar and vanilla extract until fully dissolved.
    • Let the coffee mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
  2. Whip the cream:
    • In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip.
  3. Assemble the dessert:
    • In serving glasses or bowls, pour a layer of the chilled coffee mixture. Top with a generous dollop of the whipped cream. Repeat the layers if desired.
  4. Garnish and chill:
    • Garnish with shaved chocolate, a dusting of cocoa powder, or a coffee bean for decoration. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving for a perfectly chilled treat.

Notes

  • For a richer coffee flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of coffee granules directly to the cream before whipping.
  • Substitute the whipped cream with coconut cream for a dairy-free option.
  • Serve alongside biscotti or a small cookie for added texture.
