Description

Creamy Boursin Chicken Pasta is a rich and indulgent dish featuring tender chicken pieces and pasta tossed in a luxurious, herb-infused Boursin cheese sauce for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your choice)
  • 1 (5.2 oz) package Boursin cheese (Garlic & Fine Herbs)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water (as needed)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add garlic. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add Boursin cheese and heavy cream. Stir until the cheese melts and forms a creamy sauce.
  6. Return cooked chicken to the skillet, then add the cooked pasta. Toss to coat everything evenly.
  7. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  8. Stir in Parmesan cheese if using, and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker version.
  • Try adding spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor and color.
  • Boursin comes in different flavors—try shallot & chive or pepper for variety.
