Description

Creamy Bacon Chicken is a rich, savory dish featuring tender chicken breasts cooked in a creamy garlic sauce with crispy bacon. This comforting meal is perfect for a cozy dinner and pairs wonderfully with pasta, mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken:
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Cook the Chicken:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (165°F/74°C internal temperature). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook the Bacon:
In the same skillet, add the chopped bacon. Cook until crispy, then remove with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving about 1-2 tablespoons of bacon fat in the skillet.
  4. Make the Creamy Sauce:
Reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant. Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Combine Everything:
Return the chicken breasts and cooked bacon to the skillet. Spoon the sauce over the chicken and simmer for 2-3 minutes to warm everything through.
  6. Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

  • Chicken Options: Use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a juicier alternative. Adjust cooking time as needed.
  • Add Veggies: Stir in spinach or sun-dried tomatoes to add extra flavor and texture.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop.
