Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Season the Chicken:
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. - Cook the Chicken:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (165°F/74°C internal temperature). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. - Cook the Bacon:
In the same skillet, add the chopped bacon. Cook until crispy, then remove with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving about 1-2 tablespoons of bacon fat in the skillet. - Make the Creamy Sauce:
Reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant. Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens slightly. - Combine Everything:
Return the chicken breasts and cooked bacon to the skillet. Spoon the sauce over the chicken and simmer for 2-3 minutes to warm everything through. - Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
- Chicken Options: Use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a juicier alternative. Adjust cooking time as needed.
- Add Veggies: Stir in spinach or sun-dried tomatoes to add extra flavor and texture.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop.
