Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup fruit preserves (such as raspberry, strawberry, or apricot)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut into 6 equal rectangles.
  4. Place the rectangles on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of each pastry.
  6. Top with 1 teaspoon of fruit preserves.
  7. Fold the corners slightly inward or leave open-faced, as desired.
  8. Brush edges with egg wash.
  9. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden and puffed.
  10. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Use different fruit preserves for variety.
  • Make sure the puff pastry is well thawed but still cold for best results.
  • Pastries can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
