- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup fruit preserves (such as raspberry, strawberry, or apricot)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut into 6 equal rectangles.
- Place the rectangles on the prepared baking sheet.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of each pastry.
- Top with 1 teaspoon of fruit preserves.
- Fold the corners slightly inward or leave open-faced, as desired.
- Brush edges with egg wash.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden and puffed.
- Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
Notes
- Use different fruit preserves for variety.
- Make sure the puff pastry is well thawed but still cold for best results.
- Pastries can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
