- 8 oz cream cheese, softened

- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (for cream cheese filling)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, 2 eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, and 2 tablespoons flour until smooth to make the cream cheese filling.
- Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spoon the cream cheese filling evenly over the batter.
- Top with the remaining banana batter and gently spread it to cover the filling.
- Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and sweetness.
- Cover loosely with foil if the bread is browning too quickly.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator due to the cream cheese filling.
